The Malaysian premiere of SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD is directed by Boh Cameronian Arts award-winning director Christopher Ling (Best Direction, Musical Theatre for THE LAST FIVE YEARS) and features Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) nominated vocal quartet, Caipifruta. (Best Group Vocal Performance, AIM18).

Caipifruta Revelations

Brought together by choral music, Caipifruta and The Revelations, have come a long way to work on this project together. They first met during an international choir competition in Jakarta, 2007. Then both groups continued their journey in other competition arenas and at the same time expanding their repertoire and experience, by performing at various events and venues regionally.

Collaborating for the very first time, “Caipifruta” a vocal quartet and “The Revelations” of an all-male ensemble will be presenting jazz, pop and evergreen standards.

Originally an a cappella arrangement (by Yeo Chow Shern) of 3 famous K-Pop songs, this number has grown on us and morphed into something so fun during rehearsals, we couldn’t resist sharing this with everyone! Our pianist Liu Wei Zhong helped bring our newfound ideas to new heights and now we have a K-baret!
